David Nardaia is the Head of Business Development at Lambda Gaming, a Georgian game provider company. With a unique focus on retro-themed 8Bit games, Lambda Gaming has quickly made a name for itself in the industry, winning several prestigious awards.
David shares the journey of Lambda Gaming:
"We were founded in 2017, initially focusing on FinTech software. However, about two to three years ago, we shifted our focus to iGaming, starting with peer-to-peer games in the Georgian market. Recently, we've expanded globally with a variety of games including slots and crash games. Our 8Bit game series has been particularly successful, winning awards like the Sigma Award and CasinoBeats Awards."
David emphasizes that Lambda Gaming is a midsize company with around 30 employees, and they take pride in doing everything in-house:
"From mathematics to design, back-end, front-end, and sound, everything is done by us. We depend only on ourselves for creating games."
David recently joined Lambda Gaming, transitioning from a 20-year career in diplomacy:
"I joined Lambda Gaming a year ago, moving from traditional diplomacy to commercial diplomacy. The gaming industry is huge and exciting, with lots of opportunities for business. The company's motto, 'Challenge the ordinary,' aligns with my personal values, making my work both fun and fulfilling."
David's favorite game from Lambda Gaming's portfolio is TWINKO 2048:
"TWINKO 2048 is my favorite. It's a nostalgic nod to the classic 2048 game popular on mobile phones. I enjoy the challenge of merging numbers and achieving higher scores, making it a fun and engaging game for me."
On responsible gaming, David highlights the importance of fairness and player enjoyment:
"All our games are certified by the Isle of Man and use RNG (random number generation) with a standard RTP (Return to Player) rate of 96%. We create games that are fun and fair, ensuring that gambling remains a positive experience for players."
David stresses that responsible gaming is about trust and reputation:
"For us, gambling should be enjoyable and not a burden. We ensure our games have good RTP levels so players have a fair chance of winning. It's crucial for our company to maintain trust and fairness in all our games."
Lambda Gaming's most popular game varies by market, but their 8Bit games are gaining widespread popularity:
"Our 8Bit games are getting more popular as players understand their unique concept. For example, Football Twinko won the 'Best Game Release Prize' at CasinoBeats. It has a football theme and features from national teams, adding to its appeal."
David shares his excitement about Georgia's qualification for the European Football Championship, which inspired elements in Football Twinko:
"We even included the Georgia National Team jersey in the game to celebrate this achievement. It's a game that captures the football atmosphere and is a hit among players."
David showcases several popular 8Bit games during the interview:
David invites players to try these games on their website:
"Our games are fun and fair. Players can try demos on our website before gambling with real money. We have many operators partnering with us where these games are available."
Looking ahead, David sees continued growth and innovation in Lambda Gaming's 8Bit series:
"Our 8Bit games are unique and offer a different experience. We're continually developing new games and features to keep our portfolio fresh and exciting for players."
When we last met David Nardaia at SiGMA Asia 2024, he was Head of Business Development. Fast forward one year to SBC Summit Malta 2025, and he is now the CEO of Lambda Gaming.
"Since then, we had a lot of development in my personal life and in the company as well. Now I’m CEO, which means more work, but also more exciting opportunities."
He shared how Lambda Gaming continues to grow, expanding its game portfolio and exploring new directions that build upon their original P2P roots.
Lambda Gaming is seeing renewed interest in peer-to-peer (P2P) games like Backgammon, Domino, and Bura (a traditional card game). They now have a dedicated internal division for P2P development.
"Suddenly we feel there is a huge need in international markets for these P2P games. In Georgia, most operators already use our P2P games, and now international clients are also showing demand."
David explained how these games operate, including rake-based models, tournament formats, and localized adaptations for markets like Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, and Central Asia.
The interview also spotlighted Lambda’s latest crash game, Avion, which is already breaking records within their portfolio despite only launching in January 2025.
"It’s our newest crash game, and we put all our experience into it. It has beautiful 3D art, great sound design, and it gives players the feeling they’re cheering for a pilot reaching new heights."
David attributes Avion’s success to its simplicity and immersive quality, making it stand out even in a crowded crash game space.
For the rest of 2025, Lambda Gaming is continuing development across all three major categories:
"This means more work, and we’re expanding our staff. But our goal is to grow every year and deliver new products annually."
When asked about Lambda’s most popular titles, David highlighted Avion again:
"Avion is our most played game today. It’s beating all the numbers."
He also noted several instances of players reaching max wins, which always generates excitement within the team.
David ended the interview by reaffirming the uniqueness of Lambda’s 8Bit game series:
"When players are bored with traditional slots or crash games, they always want to see something new. That’s the niche our 8Bit games are filling—they're catchy, immersive, and different."
He believes that the appeal lies in their ability to let players feel like they’re characters in a game, which keeps them coming back for more.
