Simon Vincze is Head of Sustainable & Safer Gambling at Casino Guru, one of the largest affiliate websites in the iGaming industry. Beyond affiliate services, the company manages a complaints resolution center, maintains the biggest online casino database, and develops a Casino Safety Index that rates operators based on reputation and customer treatment.
“My role in the company is running safer gambling projects designed to reduce gambling related harm and use our market position to help with that.”
One of these projects is the Casino Guru Academy, a platform launched four years ago to provide free educational courses for operators and solution providers. The Academy was created in response to recurring player complaints identified in Casino Guru’s resolution center. By turning this knowledge into structured learning, the company aims to educate and inspire operators to reduce disputes and improve customer experience.
“Our first course was on customer support. After four years, it remains our most popular course.”
Today, the Academy offers seven courses covering areas such as bonuses, safer gambling, and other essential topics. These resources are used for onboarding new staff and improving retention strategies across the industry.
The Academy has gained strong recognition. More than 30 companies have repeatedly registered employees without any major marketing campaigns. Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with many surprised that such resources are offered for free.
“It sums up that it is something needed for the industry and it has been appreciated.”
Courses are structured as e-learning modules combining short videos and written material. Each session takes around 60 to 90 minutes and is designed to be digestible, engaging, and easy to follow.
Casino Guru is now focused on scaling up its Academy. The company plans to invest in marketing, expand its course catalogue, and gather feedback to deliver even more value. The long-term vision is clear: to establish the Casino Guru Academy as the go-to platform for free quality education in iGaming.

While most iGaming training providers charge for courses, Casino Guru takes a disruptive yet collaborative approach. Its free courses provide a baseline level of education, while specialized training remains the domain of paid providers.
“We are not competing with others. We want to partner with companies that can provide advanced education.”
The company is also considering whether participation and results in the Academy could be integrated into its casino rating system in the future, further incentivizing operators to adopt its educational programs.
