We had the pleasure to video interview Nikolai Dremov, the Business Development Team Lead of Mascot Gaming. The video is also available on YouTube.

Introducing Mascot Gaming

Nikolai Dremov, Business Development Team Lead at Mascot Gaming, gave us insight into the company's journey, values, and product portfolio. Mascot Gaming specializes in producing top-tier in-house games with a strong focus on innovation, reliability, and striking visual appeal. Their aim is to create captivating content for diverse markets and player profiles.

10 Years of Innovation

Founded by two leaders, one focused on tech operations and the other on commercial strategy. Mascot Gaming is celebrating its 10th anniversary in August 2025. The company showcased its first ten games at ICE London 2019, made a quick transition to HTML5 technology, and obtained RNG certification soon after. These moves helped the studio gain real momentum in the competitive iGaming space.

Global Scale and Diverse Portfolio

Mascot Gaming currently boasts a portfolio of 150 games, spanning a wide array of genres including:

The company is headquartered in Valencia, Spain, with additional offices in Dubai and Latvia, and plans for continued global expansion.

Why iGaming? A Personal Take

Nikolai shared his personal draw to the iGaming industry:

“I enjoy the fast-paced environment and the constant innovation. Once you're in iGaming, it's hard to leave. The people here are open-minded and passionate about creating something unique.”

Favorite Game and Player Feedback

Among the many titles, Nikolai's favorite is Spicy Candies: Rockblocks, known for its “sweet chaos” and exciting gameplay using the Rockfall mechanic. He fondly recalled showing it to a client who won a big jackpot during the demo.

He also mentioned a strong personal connection with the company’s table games, including poker, which he enjoys casually with friends.

Top Performers and Market Fit

Popular games vary by region. For instance, in Africa, crash and instant games resonate strongly with younger audiences. Mascot’s new “Tic Tac Toe” series, alongside Mines and Plinko, target this demographic. Shooter and fishing games, built with unique mechanics, also perform exceptionally well globally.

What Makes a Game Stand Out?

According to Nikolai, it’s all about uniqueness and visual appeal. Incorporating elements of gamification and video-game-like features is key. Listening to player feedback is central to Mascot’s development process:

“We try to create something that stands out. Bright visuals, gamification, and often a hybrid of arcade, live, and physical game elements.”

Commitment to Responsible Gaming

Responsible gaming, for Mascot, starts with fairness. This includes building licensed games and integrating player-facing disclaimers and warnings. Mascot Gaming holds certifications in:

They continue to expand their regulatory footprint each year.

“For those already enjoying our games, thank you! Your support means everything. And if you haven’t yet tried Mascot, give it a go and see how we stand out in terms of product quality, mechanics, and features. It’s our competitive edge.”
