Introducing Yan Shif, Co-Founder of MegaFair

Yan Shif, the co-founder of MegaFair, brings over a decade of experience as an affiliate in the iGaming industry and as a tech entrepreneur. Two years ago, he founded MegaFair, a game studio that combines his industry knowledge and passion for skill-based gaming. As he puts it, MegaFair is a skill-game provider, offering unique content designed to retain players on operator websites.

    What Makes MegaFair Different?

MegaFair is focused on building engaging skill-games and unique RNG content. One recent release is Crazy Zeus Run, a board-style RNG game aimed at players who enjoy both casual board games and traditional slots. Yan emphasized their commitment to building content that keeps players on operator websites longer, including P2P and PvP formats.

    Milestones and Expansions

One of MegaFair's first major milestones came just nine months ago, when they launched with their first brand and entered the market as a skill-game provider. Since then, they have successfully integrated with multiple aggregators, direct platforms, and operators. Another important moment was the launch of Crazy Zeus Run, which added an RNG game with a fresh player experience to their portfolio.

    Company Scale and Operations

The company currently has 35 team members from 10 countries, operating remotely with a single operations office in Cyprus. They have six live games and are planning to launch 15 more in the next 12 months.

As a skill-game provider, they hold legal opinions for each game rather than traditional gaming licenses, since skill-games are not classified as games of luck. However, for their RNG titles, they are actively pursuing licenses within Europe.

Most Popular Titles and Personal Favorites

Yan’s personal favorite is Crazy Zeus Run, combining the fun of board games with RNG and RTP mechanics. He shared, I play it every day. It's super exciting and keeps players engaged.

    Among their top-performing games:

    What Is a Skill-Game?

Yan explained that a skill-game is a game where no luck is involved. These games typically include:

Unlike traditional casino games, skill-games remove luck from the equation. All players face the same conditions, and success depends entirely on skill, strategy, and sometimes speed. For instance:

Preventing Fraud and Encouraging Fair Play

While speed is often a factor, Yan highlighted that actions also matter. Whether it’s choosing the right power-ups in bingo or targeting the right fish in Mega Wild Fish, a mix of quick decision-making and strategy defines player success. This also helps ensure fairness and reduces fraud since outcomes are determined by skill rather than manipulation.

What Makes Games Fun and Popular?

Yan believes players are drawn to skill-games because they feel a sense of control. Unlike RNG slots, skill-games remove the “house edge” and allow players to improve over time. He said, People feel they can beat others, not the casino.

He also pointed out that many successful mobile games are skill-based, and MegaFair is one of the first companies to bring that same experience to iGaming platforms. We analyze casual gaming UX and apply it to casinos.

    Looking Ahead

MegaFair’s roadmap includes 15 upcoming games, including new skill-based concepts, innovative RNG titles, and slot games with “pixel perfect” design and visual appeal. The goal is to blend fun, aesthetics, and competitiveness to create memorable experiences for all types of players.

    A Message from Yan Shif

“If you never try, you never know. Operators and players who tested our games find them truly special. Not everyone will love them, but for those looking for something different, our games can be very attractive.”

He encourages casinos to explore their titles and assures players that the MegaFair team is constantly improving based on real data and feedback.

Alena Tsuranova on MegaFair’s Skill-Game Revolution

Alena Tsuranova is the Commercial Director at MegaFair, a fast-growing game studio that blends casual game mechanics with real-money play. She works closely with product, sales, and marketing teams to drive commercial adoption and share the vision of the company at international expos like SBC Summit Lisbon 2025.

“MegaFair games are mega fair and mega fun.”

    Why MegaFair Games Are Different

At the heart of MegaFair’s innovation is the belief that players should win based on skill, not chance. The studio focuses on skill-based mechanics where each game is won through performance and strategy. These are not simply bonus games with manual interaction, they are games where skill determines the result.

Players are invited to test their abilities in equal condition matches, with real prize pools and no hidden edge. Each title is designed with competitive gameplay in mind, ranging from card layouts to real-time action challenges.

“Skill games do not have RNG, which means the result is not random.”

    Games That Showcase Skill

MegaFair currently offers several live games, each appealing to different player styles. These include:

Each game puts the player in control, where timing, tactics, and dexterity matter more than luck.

“So everyone can try and see how fast he is or how skilled he is to win the prize.”

Personal Favorites and Playing for Real

Although she doesn’t often play for money, Alena regularly shows game demos and sometimes scores big during those sessions. One game stands out for her personally, was the Mega Wild Fish. It evokes nostalgic joy while delivering competitive excitement.

“It reminds me a little bit of the gold miner from my childhood.”

    How Skill Is Measured

Each MegaFair game incorporates objective scoring systems that reward accurate, fast, and strategic play. In Solitaire, all players get the same deck and race to finish with the highest score. In Bingo, players compete on the same number board but choose different tactics and timing.

Performance is evaluated in real time, and rewards are distributed from prize pools based on rank. These mechanics eliminate randomness and shift focus to fair, transparent gameplay.

“You have to be either the fastest or the most accurate or both to get the jackpot pool.”

Expanding into RNG and New Genres

MegaFair is not limited to skill games. The team is also developing RNG-based titles and traditional slot mechanics in response to operator demand. The roadmap includes new genres, instant-win formats, and cross-step innovations scheduled through spring 2026.

The studio aims to release 15 games before April, blending their unique game design philosophy into both regulated RNG formats and original concepts.

“At the moment, we see the demand coming not only for skill games, but also for our vision of RNG games.”

    Why Operators Are Interested

Skill games are not commonly available in the B2B online space. Many operators have been searching for this type of content but couldn’t find it until MegaFair. This demand has translated into direct integration requests, especially from regions like Japan.

While skill mechanics are often found in mobile or arcade environments, MegaFair has brought them to regulated online casino formats with scalable multiplayer logic.

“Some operators are shocked that we have it and they want it right now.”

    Offline Skill Game Inspiration

Inspiration comes from various sources. Some formats resemble arcade tables or large touchscreens where groups of people play simultaneously. Although MegaFair does not build physical games, they study these environments to replicate their competitive structure online.

Such real-world setups prove that players enjoy skill-based competition, even in casino settings.

“I’ve seen games like this in the USA and Asia... I hope to try them myself one day.”

    Where to Find MegaFair Games

While exact operator names are under NDA, several are already live with MegaFair titles via aggregator platforms. Alena recommends that interested operators check with their platforms or reach out directly for potential partnerships.

Integration can be done via aggregators, direct APIs, or white-label setups.

“If it's not available yet, we’re always happy to integrate directly.”

    Exhibition Presence and Growth

Compared to past shows, MegaFair arrived at SBC Lisbon with a much larger booth and full team support. The event generated energy and engagement, especially for team members attending a major expo for the first time.

The company plans to return even stronger in future expos, bringing more content, new mechanics, and higher visibility.

“Some of the guys were shocked by the scale and number of people who arrived to Lisbon.”

    Player Feedback and Product Iteration

Alena shared that players are active on Telegram and frequently ask where else they can play MegaFair games. Some even request more content after trying the existing five titles. This feedback drives development and validates their unique approach.

Key metrics like retention and engagement are already strong, and the team is hiring to support faster production and iteration cycles.

“They demand more casinos to have our games and they demand more games as well.”

    Who Enjoys MegaFair the Most?

The core audience includes social gamers, casual players, and those already familiar with skill mechanics from other formats. Poker and blackjack players might find interest, but the bigger overlap is with fans of interactive and tactical gameplay who want more than spinning reels.

This segment is underserved in online casino platforms, and MegaFair is positioning itself to fill that gap.

“They might be tempted to try this on a casino version where they can win money for the classic games they’re already good at.”
